SPORTS ACTIVITIES:
The college has a well developed play field with defined courts for various games. The College provides a number of indoor and outdoor Sports and games facilities to the students and suitable awards are given every year to the best performers.
There is one separate sports block in our college comprising of two big rooms with indoor facilities like

Judo
Wrestling
Chess
Carom Board
Table Tennis
Fencing
Yoga
Badminton

There is also a provision for the outdoor sports facilities in the college playground like

Volley Ball
Hand Ball
Kabaddi
Kho-Kho
Hockey
Cricket
Football
Basket Ball

But due to ongoing construction in the college, the above mentioned outdoor and some indoor games were played in the premises of Mini Stadium situated adjacent to the college.
In addition to that the college also have some fitness equipments like treadmill, home gym and dumbbells of different weights varying from 1 to 5 kg.
The sport students have been trained under well experienced national/international coaches.

Sports Achievements

On 7 dec.2021 - Government for women college parade bagged overall Championship trophy obtaining highest points in the inter College yoga (women) championship held at University of Jammu campus here . There are 6 students were participated and god gold medals also. Rashi rajput got silver medal in individual participation.

6 dec. 2021 - Government College for Women GCW Parade Bagged the Overall Championship Trophy Obtaining Highest 17points In the Inter- College Womenâ€™s Wrestling Competition Held at University of Jammu Campus Here. There Are 10 Players Participated And 9 Players Got 2gold, 3 Silver, And 4 Bronze Medals.

Judo Inter- College Championship Held at Jammu University On 1st Dec. 2021 In Which 6 Players Were Participated And 3 Players Got Bronze Medals in It.

1 Dec .2021 -G.C. W Parade Out Played The Defending Champion, The Combine Side Of GDC Udhampur by 28-12 Sets And Lifted The Inter- Collegiate Basketball Women Trophy Organised By Directorate Of Sports And Physical Education, University Of Jammu At University Volley Ball Court. G.C.W Parade Defeated GDC Udhampur By Sets with Score 28 -12. Lakshika Jamwal And Anu Priya Were the Star Performers Of The Final Match.

25 Nov. 2021- Volley Ball Team Of G.C.W Parade Got Silver Medals In Inter Collegiate Volleyball Women Trophy Organised By Directorate Of Sports And Physical Education, University Of Jammu At University Volley Ball Court .

Fencing Inter- College Held at University Of Jammu, From 10th To 12th Nov. 2021 in which 10 Players Were Participated And Got 7 Silver Medals And 8 Bronze Medals in it.

32ND SENIOR NATIONAL KORFBALL CHAMPIONSHIP Lakshika Jamwal participated in 32nd Senior National Korfball Championship as a player where as Ms. Jasmeena Chib (Ast. PTI) attended the national as a Junior and Senior Team Manager held at Rattan Institute Of Technology & Management , Palwal (Haryana) organized by Korfball Federation of India from 31 march-05 march 2021.

Shagun Chib bagged Silver Medal in 2nd J&K UT Cycling Championship organized by Cycling Association of J&K at Jammu on 30TH &31ST March 2021.

On 26 march,2021: 60 NCC Cadets of 2 J&K Girls Bn ,NCC of G.C.W,Parade Ground ,Jammu along with Jasmeena Chib participated in one day sport climbing promotional event held at Surinsar and organized by Tawi Trekkers .Principal of the college Dr.S.P Sarswat along with ANO Lt. Suman Lata congratulate the cadets and best wishes for future endeavours.

Shagun Chib bagged Bronze Medal in National Karate Championship organized by National Karate Federation and hosted by Haryana Sports Karate Association at Kurukshetra , Haryana from 21 march-25 march2021.
