Total built up area of Central Library is 11721 sq.ft. It is a three storied building and each storey’s is equipped with all weather ACs. Ground floor is dedicated to Science and Commerce, first floor to Humanities and Languages and second floor has reading room/ Browsing centre for students. This centre is decorated with adequate furniture and twenty computers having access to internet which enables students to view various online e-resources as per their need. Seating capacity of this reading room is 115 students approximately. Library is partially automated with Koha software. Other equipments in library are RFID Gates, KIOSK Equipments, and RFID Reader Plates that have completely revolutionized its functioning. NLIST accounts are active for the students and faculty, NDLI is freely accessible data base where bulk registration of students and faculty is done.
