Briefing Session for students to understand: How to face / apply for a Job Fair

Training and Placement Cell of College facilitated students of the College for participating in Mega Job Fair 2023 organised by Directorate of Employment Jammu and Kashmir on 12.02.2023. The venue for the event was Convention Centre, Canal Road, Jammu. The Training and Placement Cell  shared link for registration  with the College students from all the streams for participation. On 11.02.2023, Training and Placement Cell organised a briefing session for students who registered themselves for Mega Job Fair 2023. The briefing session of the students were jointly taken by the Prof. Meenakshi Jamwal and Prof. Jyoti Bahl. Registration link sharing  and Record maintenance of students who got registered was jointly managed by Prof. Bhawandeep and Prof. Tishu. Students who attended the Job Fair gave positive feedback regarding their experience and exposure. Eight students from College have been selected and got their job letters in Agile Herbals. 

         

G.C.W Parade Ground, Jammu organized Hiring Process for Software Engineer Trainee Internship Hiring Process for Software Engineer Trainee Internship organized by Government College for Women Parade Ground Jammu and Digital Initiative Unit, HED J & K in association with CodeQuotient , Chandigarh on 21.01.2023. Dr Manik Gupta Head of Career Advancement and Strategic Alliances, Mr Amit Ghai Head of Business Operations and Mr Dipanker Dutt Head- Partnerships & Talent Outreach were the representatives of CodeQuotient . They oriented the students for the hiring process. First phase was an orientation to their process, success stories of students and the kind of companies CodeQuotient works with. After the introduction, CodeQuotient introduced the students to their selection process, which is a progressive elimination round on problem solving skills.They also introduced the application mentality among students who could not clear their process, and they are still eligible to opt for the internship if they prepare on CodeQuotient Pre-Course and apply for the selection test virtually. Principal of GCW Parade Ground encouraged students to avail maximum opportunities from these initiatives to make their Knowledge applicable for market scenario while Dr Kumar Sourav ,Nodal officer and project coordinator of Digital Unit HED applauded the students for their participation , enthusiasm and interest and gave them assurance for such initiatives in future as well . The programme ,which coordinated by the whole team of Training and Placement cell of the college in assistance with Dr . Piyali Arora and Prof. Jyoti Bhal ., concluded with vote of thanks presented by Prof Meenakshi Jamwal ,Convenor Training and Placement Cell .
