Botanical Garden
The Department of Botany maintains a botanical garden in the college which spread over an area of 5850 sq. feet. The botanical garden of college is housing more than 100 plant species that include a wide variety of plants ranging from Bryophytes to angiosperms. We have also included several medicinal plants species such as Ocimum sanctum, Rauvolfia serpentina (Sarpagandha), Withania somnifera (Ashwagandha), Datura sp., Terminalia arjuna, Terminalia bellirica, Bryophyllum pinnatum, Asparagus spp., Aloe vera, Adhatoda vasica etc. The garden also hosts gymnosperms such as Cycas revoluta, Zamia spp., Araucaria spp., Thuja orientalis, Cupressus spp. The leaves and other organic wastes generated in the garden are converted into organic fertilizer using a well developed vermicomposting unit installed in the garden. The vermicomposting generated from this unit is used as plant nutrient in the garden.
